So what exactly is wrong with Clive Owen? Why is this the kind of movies he deliberately chooses? I have yet to watch a Clive Own movie that I actually enjoyed, that was at all good. Okay, so I like CLOSER, but that mostly due to the other 3 leads. I liked KING ARTHUR well enough, but again, due to the other leads.

SPOILERS AHEAD

They could've done this movie so well, the concept was intriguing but it was done so poorly and focused so much on the war that it couldn't hold my attention… or anyone else's in the theater. It's quite a while before it's even revealed that the girl is preggers and it's never explained why the human race has become infertile.

One after another the characters die and in horribly gory ways. The woman that was traveling with the pregnant girl is taken in a Nazi-Concentration Camp-esque way.

The human race becomes infertile, the world and civilization falls apart and only England is left? Oh lord we are in trouble. England? Why England?

Another thing that is never explained is 'The Human Project' I have absolutely no idea what it was or what it did. Then there are the 'refugees' and why the rest of the world fell apart and why random bombs are going off on the street.

Julianne Moore, a big selling point for the this movie dies pretty early on and it's all down hill from there.

The thing is, this movie got really good ratings and people seemed to have really liked it. What I want to know is if they've actually seen it. Because the movie contradicts itself in some ways and the plot bounces and is utterly hopeless in what is should have tried to accomplish. The sad part is that they could've really done it well, but instead they opted for the overdone, drawn out war stuff. The only good part is when the big shoot out at the old hospital comes to a stand still and everyone lets him take the girl and the baby out of there and stands, gaping in awe of the sight of a baby. But the one good moment (minus all of Michael Caine's scenes) in the movie is cut short when the shooting starts up again.

If only the would've have even attempted to do this movie justice, if only they would've focused more on the human aspect of the situation rather than the war torn world side.
