Outwit. Outspy. Outsmart. Outplay. Then get out... )
So it's, like, a flashback to my childhood with the released 'sequel' to one of my favorite movies as a child. Escape to Witch Mountain. It's a movie I used to force my cousins to watch everytime I went to visit since it wasn't one of the million and half that my mom bought. I don't know why.

I've never been into comic books, I didn't dress up like a superhero when I was little. I didn't think that Superman was that big of a deal. My older cousin J cried when he saw the first Spiderman movie, I thought it was good but there was no need to cry. No matter how true it supposedly was to the comic books, which I never read.

Still, there's something about a superhero movie, something about a movie based on a comic book that has me at the edge of my seat dying to go. This movie was no different.

Justice is coming to all of us. No matter what we do. )

So this was the second time that I made it to this movie, and it was just as good as the first time. I think that the wedding planning period is probably the weirdest time in a person's life. Planning that big wedding where you and everyone close to you is centered around flowers and clothes and color-schemes that you will be so sick of by the time you're done planning that you'll never want to see them again. Everyone gets so obsessed with the menu and the guest list and the seating chart and music and dancing. Its fun and its not fun. Its important and its bullshit. Its special and its generic. Its unique and its cliche. Its all just so weird. The wedding becomes the complete focus, especially if its a short engagement and you're on a tight schedule.

Even best friends can't share the same wedding day... )
The Baltimore-set movie of interconnecting story arcs deals with the challenges of reading or misreading human behavior.

So everybody has seen this right? well if not, don't follow the cut, because there's some monster spoilers. It's okay if you just read the book though. But if you have neither read the book nor seen the movie I wouldn't recommend continuing...

Okay, so I've been wanting and wanting to see this movie, but at the same time I've been a little hesitant. After all, the previews looked really bloody, I mean, the title of the movie is splattered blood for fuck's sake. Plus my roomie isn't an action movie kind of gal, she just doesn't care for it. I guess it boils down to the fact that she's pretty calm and, well, unviolent in a way that I am. I texted my bro a couple weeks ago asking if he had seen it and whether or not it was good. His exact response was: That movie was awesome. I totally recommend it. (end quote) So I figure if the movie has the ability to turn my macho brother into a valley girl it really had to have been good. Not to mention that everyone I have spoken to has said that it "rocked".

so the rest of this oh-so interesting tale is behind the cut )

The entire movie was amazing and has me all adrenaliney (okay not a word) and pumped up. I'm actually listening to 'calm music' in hopes to calm myself enough to get to sleep sometime tonight. Please God let it work!
BLADES OF GLORY... remember, there are spoilers )

So I went to a movie about a bunny. I specifically remember seeing the previews when I went to Music and Lyrics. They were fore The Last Mimzy, TMNT, and something about and action-hero dog. They all looked cute/funny. Well at first Mimzy kinda looked a little scary, like it was an evil bunny or something, but that was the first teaser, the trailer actually made it look cute. Plus Dwight is in it (well, Rainn Wilson) and we all know how I love Dwight.

Read on about the bunny )
