Describe your ideal weekend

ideal weekend... shopping with Liz before going out for italian or mongolian and a movie (since it's my ideal weekend, it's an action flick where lots of shit gets blown up). And since Liz just happens to me a massage therapist, maybe a massage. Of course if she's in town for the weekend we'll probably be in 'slumber party' mode with some ice cream, dvds and wine. We'll get drunk and crash and wake up the next morning for brunch. Then afterwards we get our hair and nails (mmm... mani/pedi, haven't had one in months) done and do a little more shopping before dinner and then maybe hit up Coldstone before she has to head back out for the drive home. Of course in this scenario I have a limitless credit card that I never see a bill for because I have some anonymous benefactor that just takes care of it.

I've never been into comic books, I didn't dress up like a superhero when I was little. I didn't think that Superman was that big of a deal. My older cousin J cried when he saw the first Spiderman movie, I thought it was good but there was no need to cry. No matter how true it supposedly was to the comic books, which I never read.

Still, there's something about a superhero movie, something about a movie based on a comic book that has me at the edge of my seat dying to go. This movie was no different.

Justice is coming to all of us. No matter what we do. )

So this was the second time that I made it to this movie, and it was just as good as the first time. I think that the wedding planning period is probably the weirdest time in a person's life. Planning that big wedding where you and everyone close to you is centered around flowers and clothes and color-schemes that you will be so sick of by the time you're done planning that you'll never want to see them again. Everyone gets so obsessed with the menu and the guest list and the seating chart and music and dancing. Its fun and its not fun. Its important and its bullshit. Its special and its generic. Its unique and its cliche. Its all just so weird. The wedding becomes the complete focus, especially if its a short engagement and you're on a tight schedule.

Even best friends can't share the same wedding day... )
