Remember... SPOiLERS!

I liked this movie. It was really cute. I kind of resented the whole thing that the older sister is totally responsible and the younger sister can use her for anything just because she's the younger sister and has no responsibilities thing. You know, because I myself am a younger sister. I don't use my older sister and I don't think she's completely and totally responsible either.

I also didn't like the fact that it was blatantly obvious during that late night conversation between Jane and Tess after her first 'date' with George that her older sister loves him. She talks about how completely perfect he is and how amazing, talking him up, then backs off and points out flaws. And the flaws are such minute and ridiculous details only someone that is completely in love with him would know. Anyone would be able to tell that she was completely in love with George, all her coworkers knew, and being her sister, Tess should have been able to tell a lot easier and quicker. That sisterly instinct/bond thing. Of course, the basis of Tess's character is that she's completely oblivious to anyone's feelings but her own. She is by all means supposed to be the typical little sister, the typical baby, completely spoiled and irresponsible and totally self-centered.

George himself seems completely perfect though, he's a vegetarian and he cares about the environment and has the most adorable dog and he's owns a successful magazine that centers on all those outdoorsy things Tess hates (and me, we have that in common at least) and he's down right perfect. Except that he's completely oblivious to the fact that his assistant (that it desperately over-worked. did she have any friends that weren't from work?) is madly in love with him. I know guys are idiots, but for four years he never suspected? Never saw it? She was practically drooling over him in their first seen together.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Judy Greer? Sadly she always plays the best friend. That girl needs her own movie, pronto. Jennifer Garner's bff in 13 Going on 30 (although she turned out to be not the greatest friend), J. Lo's bff in The Wedding Planner (and coworker... hmmm...). Can't she be the girl who gets a best friend for once?

Katherine Heigl did an amazing job, yet again, looks like she the new romantic comedy queen replacing... who? Meg Ryan? I don't know. But it looks like that she's found her place in pop-culture. Rom-Coms. The light and fluffy side of entertainment. Where it all works out in the end. I'd like to see her take on something a little deeper. Like an actual drama. She may get enough of that with her day job though. God knows they have enough drama on Grey's Anatomy.

I love James Marsden, and I like seeing him in something contemporary instead of a superhero movie (XMen, Superman), or a musical (Enchanted, Hairspray) or a The Notebook. He has all the makings of a leading man in my opinion. He's hot (tall, brunet, and blue-eyed... yum) and he has a charm that just makes me adore him. If I didn't want Allie with Noah so much I would've rooted for Lon just a little bit in The Notebook.

I couldn't stand Tess. Worst sister ever. I wouldn't have let her in my wedding even after she changed. The girl wasn't oblivious on accident in my opinion. I felt more like she chose to ignore certain things. If it didn't have to do with her she didn't care. And I know she knew that it was bad to have Pedro cleaning George's house. Otherwise she wouldn't have made him keep it a secret now, would he? Bitch.

Anyway, I really like the movie.
